Indian movie network netflix is launching a gay chat room

Chat communication

India’s film network netflix is introducing a gay-friendly chat room to its service, which it is launching in collaboration with Indian-based film maker Indira Gandhi.

The new chat room, which will be launched by Wednesday, is an extension of Indira’s Gay Film Channel.

Indira, who is also known as the Queen of Gay Film, has created a film channel for people of all genders, orientations and sexualities to chat together, which was launched in 2015.

“Our aim is to give people a place to share their stories, opinions and experiences, which are being overlooked by the media, academics, and governments,” Indira said in a statement on Tuesday.

“We want to be a place where everyone can be heard.”

Indira said that the new chatroom will help viewers find out more about her films.

“We want people to be able to share and connect with other like-minded viewers, as well as discover what the world is really like,” she said.

“For us, it is important to share what we are seeing in the world with each other, rather than keeping it for ourselves.”

Indias biggest movie festival, the Sundance Film Festival, has been criticised for excluding queer actors and filmmakers in favour of Hollywood’s straight white men, with a 2015 report saying that the exclusion of Queer as Folk was “disgusting”.

“There is a need to create a space for queer people to share, explore and connect,” Indra said.

“This is something we can do together and I hope we can all learn from each other.”

Indra, who has a number of films coming out this year including the forthcoming comedy film, A Bad Boy, and the Oscar-nominated documentary, The Way of the Gun, said that it was time for the Indian film industry to take a stand.

“It is time for people to start talking openly about their sexuality, gender identity, gender expression, and other identities,” she told The Irish News.

“This is not just for us to discuss.

It is something that needs to be acknowledged and accepted.”
